With six locations and well over 400,000 square feet of warehouse space we are well equipped to handle all sized orders from selling one piece in our stores to delivering truckloads of metal to your location. We work well with all types of customers from the large government contract supplier to the one person welding shop. We are unique in that we not only offer next day delivery but you have the option for same day pick up in our will-call or store. There aren’t any other metal distributors that can handle the range of customers and their needs like IMS can and does.

IMS stocks a wide variety of both import and domestic product. If it is important you receive only domestic metal please let us know when you place the order and we will be happy to accommodate your needs.

Yes, we have a broker department that helps our customers get hard to find metals all the time. We treat every order as a priority whether we have it in stock or not.

All web inquiries are responded to same day if they come in during business hours. If a web request is sent after hours or on the weekend we will respond first thing when we open the next morning. If you phone in your request or come into one of our branches you will be responded to immediately with the information you need.

If you have a registered account with IMS, we work with COD, Net 10, and Net 30. If you do not have a registered account with IMS we accept all major credit cards, as well as checks and cash in our retail stores.

Yes, all six locations are ISO 9001 registered.

Yes, all of our branches are open six days a week (see store locations for hours). We offer Will-Call pick up or you can come in and shop our retail stores. If you want to get your metal today, please call or come in to your nearest branch. All online orders are available for pick up or shipping.

IMS prides itself on quick turnaround. The majority of orders will ship within 24 hours of your purchase. If this is not the case we will inform you via email about when you can expect it to ship, as in cases where there is excessive processing required.

Our shipping methods depend on your requirements. We make every effort to get your order shipped within one to two business days of receipt, but will work with you if you need your products immediately.

IMS has been selling and packaging metal for over sixty years. We make great efforts to package your material so that it arrives in the same condition it leaves our warehouse. If you need special packaging, please let us know when you place the order.
