CO2 vs. Fiber Optic Laser Cutting
At IMS, we offer two different flatbed laser cutting options, CO2 and fiber optic; we will pair your project with the system that is better suited for your needs. Both utilize CNC technology for exceptional accuracy and speed; part nesting software allows for maximum yields with reduced scrap.
Our CO2 laser cutting system offers the flexibility to cut metal sheet and plate, or multiple pieces together, up to 1/2” total thickness and in sizes up to 60” x 120”.
The unique advantage of our fiber optic laser cutting system is its ability to cut very thin sheets—as thin as 26 gauge—with high accuracy. It can accommodate material up to 48” x 48” in size.
